The best Saturday in a long time!

It has really been a long time since I last blogged. Apologies on the absence as my pc was down and never had the time to update. It has been busy since I started work.

This week has been hectic. I spent most of the hours of the week in office.
Friday, my manager asked me if I am coming back to office on Saturday(optional) I proudly said no.

Today (Saturday) was spent busy sleeping recovering from my Friday night with Gan. We are both working now and have come along way since our schooling days! Haha! We went for Thai food at Tg Bungah. The shop is called Latnna. We had pork leg and tom yam fish head. It can't beat the Thai food that my new friend and colleague, Carienna, took me in Bagan Ajam on the mainland. But it was a good try.

Then we headed over to Sea Wind near Naza Hotel in Tanjung Tokong for beers! We sat by the beach chilling, drinking and puffing. It was so relaxing, looking back on the week and chatting about the good old days! The strong winds and waves did not hinder us though I was getting a little panic. I got phobia going to beaches especially after tsunami. Seeing the young people (around age 20) playing on the beach (What is the time Mr. Wolf) made me laugh reminising on the old times when we were young. Now, it looked pretty stupid! Haha!

Back to Saturday, I woke up. Headed to the TV room browsing through the channels. My first time thinkering with my dad's Astro Max. It can record stuff or something. Anyway, I came accross this old movie Cable Guy and started watching. Soon my uncle came over and we had a good laugh at the show. It was like really stupid and funny. Funny stupid!

I today got mood so decided to be a good son and vaccuum the cars. I was vaccuming the footwell of my dad's car when BOOM! The blady vaccuum exploded but it was internally. The motor overheated! My mom came over wondering what happened and explained to her.

I then had to take her to town to her Electrical Shop where the technician took a look and said dead on arrival. I promised to take her to Sen Heng and HSL which I did checking out newer vaccuums. They looked pretty cool and funky! The evolution of the vaccuum.

I bought lunch today for my parents. We went to Swattow Lane to 'tah pau' Char Koay Teow, ice kacang, Koay Teow Th'ng and poh-pia. I so big eyes mah wanna eat. Hahah! Still got balance. I even bought a packet of nasi lemak which I could not resist in front of HSL facing 1-Stop.

After lunch, washed my parents cars. Was too blady tired to wash my own car. Alah tommorrow lah hopefully.
Went back to TV room after that lieing down after hardwork.

I got out of the house at 5pm and went to HSBC with my dog. I just picked him up and off we went. He had a good time looking out the window but this time he was good to sit.

I folded my rear seats to accomodate his hair and saliva. He was excited I guess.

From HSBC we went to Gurney Drive for a walk. He made some new friends a Golden Retriever and a Shit Zhu. Benson was so happy walking along Gurney Drive. He was pissing, smelling, pissing, smelling... Dog stuff!

I had a nice time walking and relaxing on a sunny Saturday afternoon. Looking at the waves. I really needed a break from the office. It's good to take a break looking at life pass by. Nature to be spesific. The pigeons and the crows busy walking around the beach.

Tonight I am going to this Wine Shop with my colleagues. Just to chill and hang out! Carienna has just informed me she not going coz of some crappy lame ass excuse ... hahah! "I was in Penang whole day!". Kidding. I understand u! Haha!

So guys, I really do hope I can blog more. I shall schedule time out of my busy schedule.
By the way, I am looking forward to my new newphew this November! Yippie!

My First Day at Dell

I left home at 7 am. It was like going back to school days. I woke to the sound of my alarm on my mobile. Mom gave the ussual yelling as when I was in school. Heheh! Trevor... 6am!

Left home taking the Green Lane road. It was smooth. Listened to the songs of Disagree all the way. Hehe! I am in Disagree fever after going to the Hitz.fm Beach Party with Bennett a couple of weeks back.

Got there around 7.30. Made my way to the entrance and waited there for my Hire Manager to come at 9.

She showed me round the building and introduced me to my new colleagues! All girls! My "buddy" loves dogs! So it was easy to get into conversation coz we had something in common to talk about. Hehe! I learnt a lot from my "buddy" assigned to me to help me learn more about the system. When we were bored working she showed me sites of dogs like www.puppy.com.my .We went for lunch together with the office mates! It was nice! Nice canteen. Kinda like buffett at hotel. Prices are reasonable!

Met up with my cousin Rosalind and my new friend Fiona. Fiona's dad and my dad are friends. It was nice to finally get to know each other. We exchanged numbers. Coz at Dell ppl like to go mkn together. U can eat with the same ppl or can change around! Hahah! Everyone communicates on MSN. Met up with Edgar, a distant cousin who wanted me to join his department. But I dun really fancy that line of work.

I got a desk with a Dell pc but I am currently placed with my "buddy" to learn more. She's a real big help. It kind of makes it easy to make friends in a big organization coz she takes u around. So far I find them to be pleasent. I was nervous at first at making new friends. But they were friendly.

Tommorrow is another day with my "buddy". She shows me what's it like to handle different problems at Dell Customer Care. Oh yeah, I am assigned to cater for customers from Australia and New Zealand or in short ANZ. Next week I start my official training. I think with my new friend Joanne whom I met last Monday at the medical check up. Got a lot to learn to be honest. But I shall be optimistic about it.

I shall keep all my sweet friends posted. It's an interesting phase of life I would love to share. Perhaps it's a learning experience for those who are interested! Hehe!

Starting work... wish me luck!!!

Tommorrow will mark my first day on the job. Leaving the house around 6.45 am coz trying to beat the hectic traffic; ppl going to work and kids going to school.

I have yet to determine which route would be ideal. Some say use Penang Outer Ring Road ( something like LDP in KL) or the Green Lane Road. Green Lane has many schools on it so I dunno if it would be ideal or the flow of traffic would be smooth. We'll see tommorrow!

My new working place is a humble company manufacturing and assembling pc's for home and office use. It's located at Bayan Lepas near to the Penang Airport. Should take me around 40 mins to get there. Well, atleast I can drive my car more often!!! Heheh!

Basically what I am suppose to do is handle customers that call in. Their calls list from complaints, questions etc. that we must try to rectify and handle. It's an 8-5 pm job with 1 hour lunch in between.

I shall comment on what went on at the workplace in detail after I've started working there. Sure a lot to tell. Hahah!

Initially I wanted to get a job in KL. When I was in Penang, decided to try my luck. The offer was good with great renumerations and bennefits hence I said ok I shall try working here. Mom and dad are delighted with the decision. I get Astro, Streamyx and walking distance to Gurney Plaza or 1-Stop. How to complain? My dad had an idea to build another car park for me but I decline coz very troublesome and all. Ala, ppl who know me, I am practical type. Just park and masuk rumah! Heheh! The exotic food well comes in standard living in Penang!! Yahooooo! The nightlife here is great! Chicks galore of course! But u gotta becareful! Not all are ideal for any guy! Some are bitches!

My uncle told me ppl would wonder how come a Selangor plate car would drive like the other competent Penang drivers! Haha! Penang drivers u gotta learn them! Everyone wanna go places fast. So have to anticipate whose behind, front and sides. I sometimes get scared though to see how they drive. But keeping to my road ethicate I think can survive! Hehe!

Wish me luck on the job!!! :D

Why do u wanna start something I ended peacefully? Don't get it...

Well... what can I say? Someone has started the ball rolling!

I have been a victim of condemn and defamation! Well, I really trusted u and was going to go on to the next step if things went smoothly. But, there was a glitch resulting in me retreating from the battle ground to a place called 'safe' = separation.

After sooo long, u finally voice out ur raging anger and unhappiness to me INDIRECTLY. Thank you! Let everyone know. It's a marvelous job! Compliments to u! Ur message has well been transfered to everyone. But in the large arena of everyone, there are smaller segments who simply know the truth! I mean are they wrong to have opinions? No right? Their opinions was caused by what u did to them. I mean why the hell they would come out with false judgements of u? That would sound so fictional! Pinch urself to see if it hurts! Do it! We are in a real world! This is no Orange County show where everyone is happy always!

I think if there was anyone willing to start to say something it should be me of course! But I have put it behind me. I am not willing to blame anyone directly. It happen, it ended! That's it. I never bothered to worry or be upset by it. I faced it like a man ( 1 batang , 2 bola) u know? I faced the fact and acted accordingly to the situation when confronted by friends! It may be 2 days after the separation or 2 months or even 2 decades. But in the end they know also right? So does time matter? Or u just plan to have friends for a couple of years then junk them? This is not like toilet paper. U wipe ur ass, then throw the paper. Friends are a lifetime asset and I cherish them. If they need to know, let them know. If they are our friends, then why should we hide it from them?

I take it as a sign to clear ur tarnished name off the minds of ur friends! So u acted to pollute my name making me look like the villain and u can heroicly rejoice of being the winner! U obviously knew or were scared to be labelled. So u quickly came out with something so everyone knows he was wrong all the way. Why have I been so silent? Ever wonder? Coz I just want it to end there and not to make matters worst. Now u have started the ball rolling? U dun have to go round now showing ur lover, acting misserable feeling threatend by this. U know me, I am not going to do anything not that I am a sissy but just hey I am a mature individual. U started it, so it's wise I reply. Not that I am deffending myself. Just a response to what u said.

I know I am not perfect. I have failed. I failed to the point where I gave it up! Coz I know if I continue I shall continue to fail too. I was imperfect. I was wrong always. As I know it was a failure, it's better to depart then to continue. But why tell everyone so publicly? Are we on Oprah?

Sometimes, the best thing to do it's keep silent for a while. Now u making me feel even more disgusting towards u. Making me regret why I even bothered taking so much pride in u? Love came but sadly it ended. I also hurt and sad. There were problems. But why poke the finger at me? I takes to Tango. Not all my fault.

Anyway, I dun care anymore about u. What u wanna write just write. If ppl think I am satan's son so be it! I admit u have the freedom of speech! It's me and the rest of Malaysians that are told to shut up. Right? Hahha! Not racist but hey it's a fact! But this is not Malaysia, this is cyberspace! So ppl can respond by replying to ur criticism. Congrats by the way! Ur a "team player"! Hahah!

Mahathir and Siti Hasmah visit MMU, Malacca

It was kind of last minute decision for me to go and see the arrival of Tun Mahathir and Tun Siti Hasmah to MMU, Malacca. I had received forwarded messages on Yahoo! Messenger from friends and classmates announcing the arrival of these distinguised visitors to MMU. The reason of their visit would be an event organized called Around the World in 3 Days featuring cultures of international students from around the world mainly Middle East.

I contacted my good friend Nurfadzlin and she told me she also would be going to catch a glimps and take some photos with the former PM if possible. She was all excited about it and telling me how she gonna take the photos and where she would stand all.

To our disbelief, there were more than expected students gathered at the concourse of CLC that night waiting for their arrival. Some with cameras and camera phones linning up along the pathways nearly 30 minutes before the arrival of Tun and his wife.

A bluish BMW 7 series entered the compound behind the surau near CLC and for a moment everyone stood in silence as they stepped out of the vehicle.

They were greeted by the President and administration staff and proceeded to CLC where there were like a few thousand students waiting to catch a glimps, take photos and to shake the hands of the former PM and his wife.

I was lucky to get a shot(above). Also to shake hands with Tun and his wife. A great experience, something I would treasure for a long time. I mean without a doubt he has done so much for Malaysia in many ways! Especially creating Proton! How I love my Wira! Heheh!

Being spontaneous and daring!

Last week was a rather bz week for me with assignment submissions and test. Everything was all right just felt tired and sick of the same old thing of staring in front of this monitor and going to the Petronas station near my house almost everyday. Boring right? Haha!

That morning before I sat for the exam at night, I felt like doing something different. A little courageous and beyond my ussual routines. I felt like going to KL after exam which was suppose to end around 9.30 p.m. To add the fun of going KL was an idea to meet my couz over in Ampang though I was not sure how to get there but I got there! ;) My friend from Ampang had earlier given me directions to get there from the Sg. Besi toll. I followed her instructions and the rest depended on my gutt feelings of how to get to Bandar Baru Ampang!

I studied and went for the exam. After that I returned home, packed my bag and checked my car water and oil levels before leaving for KL at an alarming 11 p.m.! I mention alarming coz I don't normally drive that late on the highway. If my parents found out I sure die I tell u first... hahah!

My cousin in Ampang also another one. Call her so many times at 10 p.m. cannot get. I also wondering worth it or not going all the way to Ampang to see her coz scared I arive there she malas wanna go out. Luckily at 10.30 p.m. more or less confirm and she said she would sleep first till I get there. Kesian her also lah. Go out and lepak with me though next day she got work at Starbucks, Kotaraya.

It was my second time driving to Ampang alone so was a bit cautious of road-signs, roads and the traffic that night. Some cars zoomed beside me. I didn't bother. This not my area so scared wanna chase them. One Kelisa guy ( look like some form 5 student) tailgating me like f*ck! Flashing at me and came sooo close. I thought habis lah. Sure kena wan. Luckily I gave way as soon as I could and gave him the eye when he passed. I am not surprised if his front bumper actually touched mine. What to do lah? So careful look after my car but got jerks like this on the road. Cannot avoid wan.

I got to Bandar Baru Ampang at around 1.30 a.m. Saturday morning and called my couz. She was like u seriously down there ah? I was like yeah. Hehe! She had a sore-throat and had to wake up to come down and meet me from a her apartment block. Sorry. Next time I visit u earlier.... hehehe!

We went to this new Petronas station in Ampang Jaya near to her dad's apartment as it had a brand new McD in it. McD is 24-7 so kinda cool to hang out. But at 2 a.m. only selected meals available which was rather lame. This Petronas has even a Dunkin' Donuts and a nasi kandar shop. Something rather different from me who hails from Pulau Tikus where there are just petrol stations with maybe a convenience store in it. We sat there and ate there, chatting about what's going on in our bz lives and the family. Hehe! I was successful in getting almost all the latest info on what's going on in the family especially like about one of my couz from Melawati, Ampang which is gonna get married soon! So nice to see cousins getting married. But the fear of whose next??? Hahahha!

I sent her home at 3.30 and headed back to Subang using Kesas. I really drove slow coz not biasa driving so late at night! Reach at 4a.m. Got out of the car with the house key to my aunt's house. I got to the gate and notice the house was being renovated! I had no key to the new door. I was like Oh my God! I was so tired and tried sleeping at the back seat of the car. Buzzing mosquitos and bites kept me up though I manged to catch like 5 mins of sleep in the car. At 5.15 I went to the mamak to hang out coz got bored in the car. I arived at 6.30 to the house coz I know my uncle normally wakes up that time and called him. He came out and told me that he also just came home from a birthday party. We chatted for a while before I slept wherever I could find clean to sleep at 7.15 a.m.

Got up at around 10.30 a.m. and did some arrands before returning to my bro place just up the road from my aunt's place coz her place was still under renovation. Celebrated my nephew's 5th birthday. It was a great family gathering though my parents could not make it this year coz my dad got something to do.

That Sunday when I left Subang at 4 p.m., I returned to Malacca with a contented feeling of doing something extraordinary! I felt good! I felt I had a life!

So the next time ur down and out, get up and get out of your daily routines! Go out and have fun! Do something u dun normally do and would bring excitement! U would feel better!

Forgiving... a difficult task but it's easy...

How many of us have been wounded by harsh remarks and actions by people especially the ones close to us? People who we thought we could count on and whom we trusted. A consequence of this would be a broken relationship or a war just beginning. Hehe!

I use to be a person who kept grudges against those culprits. I hated them. They were like friends of Satan. Evil as anything you would have come across in life. People that you would wanna take a swing at or throw a brick into the window of their homes. People that have successfully pissed you off beyond your own threshold of patience.

It was at the back of my mind what they did to me. I told myself, I will never forgive them.
Though some were really sorry, it never struck me to take pitty on them. I felt they needed to pay the price for their harmful actions that have mentally and emotionally affected me. However, some had realized and learnt from their mistakes. Come on, we are only human(a very important thing to remember in life).

Then I realized this. How long would I continue punishing them. They are sorry and they also wanna move on with life. They wanna rebridge the gap once stood close between me and them. Zig Ziglar, an American author in his book mentioned that carrying the burden of unforgiveness can be sooo heavy that it may affect your performance in succeeding. His words did in fact strike me and changed my perspective. I did as he mentioned and I feel it works. It's some deep psycho stuff that I myself cannot describe concretely about... heheh!

It occured to me, what is the point in making so many enemies with people. What good do enemies do to us? The relationship is lost and has gone astray. You don't wanna forgive. Your "friend" also don't know what to do, hence, retreats to their own comfort zone. It's over!!!

On the other hand what an abundant amount of bennefits we would get from our friends and loved ones instead. A good relationship, advice, help, happiness etc. The list goes on. But what is important is happiness. No one can make you happy but yourself. Life is short. May as well make it a life worth remembering as happy one rather than filled with grief, sorrow and frustration.

I am not saying everyone of your friends is gonna be your best friends but you could atleast treat everyone like a best friend.

I write this with freedom and without any connection with any situation or person. It's just my opinion on forgiving.

Johny Cash... A true Country legend

Johny Cash? Who is he? Well, I came accross his name during the holidays on the Oprah Winfrey Show. She did a show on a upcoming movie called Walk the Line starring Joaquin Phoenix and Reese Whitterspoon. They did an autobiography of Johny Cash's life and his wife's life, June Carter.

This guy is a country singer starting in the 1960's. Yes long before my time. Hehe! But somehow I have gotten comfortable with his songs. My mom doesn't fancy him but she knows I memang have a soft spot for legends like Elvis, Ritchie Valens and James Brown. You can search online for more info about this singers. Legends man! Remembered forever! I imagine them playing songs up in the sky in heaven.

I began downloading Johny Cash's songs and doing some research on Wikipedia of who this singer is. He has quite a deep history. But, after reading his life from start to end, you get to feel sad. You get to feel how his life was like. His problems. His sorrows. His loss.

Well, after listening to him for sometime now, I don't feel bored. His songs are mostly about his life and ups and downs. Something we all go through. Life is tuff. But, we have to carry on fighting to achieve our dreams and goals! Some of his songs also are happy songs.

By the way, I ain't the only guy who likes this 60s singer. I found a classmate who also likes his songs! So next time, u think ur odd, look closely. Their could be simmilar people out there like you. Haha!

Snake... snake... snake!!!

It was my call on an old friend, Mr. Ariff to meet up for some tea at Subaidah. We had a great conversation on life, love and money!

On our trip back to Bkt Beruang, I was driving with Ariff at the co-drivers seat, we stumbled upon a long slithering creature moving at the side of the road near the Police HQ junction. Me in my excited voice yelled... "Snake, Ariff!" I turned into the Police HQ and alerted the police at the pondok with Ariff supporting my statement to the police.

We then returned to the spot to have a better look. We were bored and needed some excitement... Haha! Waiting for almost 10 minutes, we wondering when on earth is the BOMBA gonna get here. So we semangat gile drove to the BOMBA which is like 2 minutes drive to make a report.

Returning to the scene again, the snake had dissappeared. The BOMBA came in the van. They searched the area finding the snake in darkness with the help of a high powered torch-light. BINGO! They found it. It had crossed the stream to the side of the Police HQ. They caught it and had brief chat with us. I was hoping for a medal! Haha! In my dreams! But in the conversation, one of the fireman mention it's quite normal to find these creatures. There are so many that some are chopped up at the Zoo and fed to the lions and tigers!

The guys you see here are not me and Ariff lah though we could have done that... huhu... it was the firemen. They were checking the length and specie. It was a ular sawa measuring around 6 feet in length.

We later made our way back home.

Returning home to Penang in 2006!

Yes. The finals were all over. Was a bit worried about A.I. cause was freaking hard. Lyn and I went to see Mr. Kau, AI lecturer, to bodek him if he will look after our results. Like has if it would work but we were desperate. Haha! He mention that base on what he had marked he said he and the panel of lecturers would be a little linean this year.

Results came out and thank God I pass!!! Haha! Actually happy to see my other friends pass too. Coz last sem was really hard especially AI and System Reliability for my friends who took.

The holiday began by parking my car at my aunt's house in Subang before leaving with my sis in her car. It was a nice drive. I made her drive all the way back actually. Hahah! I was sleeping. =P

When we reached home, we were greeted by our parents. They were happy to see us especially me coz I kinda rarely go home. Hehe! My dad said to us no appointments until after family dinner at a hawker centre in Fettes Park. He wanted us to eat together after long time. The highlight of the dinner is not that I had to cancel my other appointmeants but the meal I ate. Oh it was to die for!!!! Soft meat! It's sooo soft yet yummy. It is good to clean the blood as it kinda detoxifies the blood. Turtle meat! Hahah! My mom said WWF gonna come after me but what the heck. They serve I eat mah! RM8 per bowl!

It was great being home. Dogs, Astro, birds, chickens... simply the air of Penang I told my sis. Hehe! That bad I miss Penang. It was in a very festive mood. A few days after the Gregorian New Year and can say Chirstmas to the coming of the New Lunar Year. Most of my friends were back. Though I had in mine meeting my Gurney Plaza friends but everyone like busy so I thought never mind lah. But met up with Bennett as u all know fromt the previous post. Haha! Went to Slippery Senoritas and coffee shops! Eat, eat and eat at coffee shops! It was great! Missed Penang food soo much! I loved this coffee shop on Macalister road, near Agora Hotel and it's in front of a Esso Station. Best oysters!! So big! RM 5 nia. Ok lah. Puas makan!

Aaah...not forgetting my Line Clear Nasi Kandar! Speechless. It's something they put inside that make people crave for it. As ussual go there I makan ayam goreng paha, telur sotong and bendi topped with kuah campur especially the kuah lembu!

I took this pic after eating at Line Clear. I shot this from accross the road. The road you see is Penang Road. Slippery Senorita is at the beginning of the road. At the end is Komtar.

Like most of my trips to Penang, I try to make it a point to go to Ayer Itam, the foot of the hill that goes to Kek Lok Si. In search of new things to add to my collection of goodies. I just like them and cannot get enough. I made my way to my aunt's friend's shop. He has been dealing with my aunt for many years. Sadly he does not have much to cater for a new generation of consumers like me. The stuff I want, he don't have. I know he may be upset coz I bought something from a store near to his coz he didn't have it. But what to do, I liked the previous shop, it had what I wanted so I bought from there. Buy a few la everytime I go. Price? Well, u gotta be good at bargaining. Huhu!

I spotted this iguana in the river near Ayer Itam. Really big. Normally can see some of them swimming in the river. Probably their natural habitat.

Living with family can be very much different when living alone like me in Malacca. U gotta divide time for family, friends and yourself! I ussually spent time with my parents coz I know I rarely go back and they kinda miss the times going out together now that their 3 children are big d. So their were trips to Pulau Tikus market, Georgetown, USM, and Teluk Bahang in Penang. My mom wanted to go to the new Giant Hypermart but we were uncertain of where it was located. If I am not wrong from what information gathered, the hypermart is located near PISA there. Oh not forgetting hanging out at my uncle's workplace in front of Gurney Drive! Damn cool! A great view of the sea front. His place is like a hangout for the old Pulau Tikus Seranis. After chatting with my uncle(family) for a few minutes more and more uncles(friends) came. Mostly my dad's friends lah. That age group. So felt like the rookie in the group. Interesting enough, I got to know more about them and some I had not seen in years. It was like going through memory lane.

Not forgetting my new dog! Benson. He has grown so well into a nice little dog from a little puppy! I love him sooo much! Has a really strong build! My dad named it after my first dog which I got when I was 1! I am quite happy! =)

It was great lah being in Penang after so long. 2 months considered long compared to the good old years when I use get up everyday and smell Penang air! Coincidently, I managed to finish Khor Cheng Kee's book of Penang called My Island in the Sun after almost 1 1/2 years in Penang. Nostalgic moment. Hehe! My dad got me a new one book called The Old Trams of Penang. Something about the old transport in Penang lah. I just read through a few pages. Nice old photos of Penang though.

Clubbing in Penang

So anything interesting I did during my holidays you may ask? Well, I went clubbing. I actually kinda stopped this ritual of visiting clubs or should I say I thought I stopped. Hahah! My parents were so shocked to see me well dressed wearing a red shirt to go clubbing this time coz normally I am so malas lah to wear nice clothes. Actually I didn't bring many clothes to Penang so I had no choice but to wear a shirt. Normally T-shirt can d lah... hahah!

My good old friend, one of my close Serani buddies asked me to go hang out at Slippery Senoritas in the heart of Georgetown. It is near the E&O hotel or the mouth of Penang Road that leads to Komtar. Anyway u can't miss the huge sign board. Hahah! I was reluctant at first coz I've been there before but then what the heck, I am on holiday! So as Bennett doesn't normally drive at night, we headed to town in my mom's faithful Iswara. Parking was free. Rather shocking for me coz I am so used to paying for parking in KL. Took some pics of the clubbing scene using my mobile phone that has a forgotten camera! Haha! Enjoy!

Entering was free on a Thursday night coz it was a weekday. We first sat upstairs but the ushers invited us downstairs coz the place was rather empty. So we sat at the bar!!!!!! A nice orange counter top with a direct full frontal view of the stage. A talented group of Philipino singers were singing hits especially from Ashlee Simpson like Lala and LOVE. It was nice. Checkout the Afro on the bartenders! Damn freaking retro!!!

We took a look at the menu to see what was interesting or should I say what was within our budgets. Haha! Drinks tend to be overpriced! At first I got myself a Jack Daniels + coke.

Sipped it for 45 mins then got another drink. This time was a Green Eye. Green Eye is a cocktail combination of vodka, orange and some other blue liquid that gives it a green look. It was lovely! Honest to God. Topped with a bright red cherry! Haha!

Yes this is the guy who influenced me to go clubbing! Hahah! No lah. It was great meeting up with Bennett. It's been like a year since we last met up. We've known each other for 16 years almost. We have grown up together and been through shitty and wacky experiences together. We survived!

I shall update more about my trip to Penang during the January 2006 holidays. It was really fun doing things I had not done in a long time especially with my family. Kind of a family oriented holiday! Hahah! Cheers!

Ushering 2006!

Wow, already 6 years have passed since the celebration of the great millenium that everyone was looking forward to. Cars would fly, modern buildings and robotic maids were some of the thoughts of what the years beyond 2000 would be like. I think there was even a show called Beyond 2000. Of course it does not exist anymore... hahahha!

A new year but the ending of the second trimester over here at MMU. It's been a tiring trimester as it is obvious I have not updated my blog from the time I was back home in Penang. Crammed with classes, assingnments, projects and most importantly Final Year Project. FYP was ok. I dare not be too contented with the performance nor proud as there is much to be done. The Interim was submitted in the second trimester. The 3rd trimester would see the implementation plan complete with working system. By the way, my project is called E-Job Hunter, an online job recruitment system. It is something like Jobstreet. I trully am happy and appreciate my great team member Khalil for his cooperation with me so far. This trimester has been a blast in developing the project. Finals are like in a weeks time so busy preparing and all. My advice is get enough rest and maintain a healthy diet. I know it's the festive season but try to stay away from alcohol.

Christmas 2005 was great. More meaningful for me as I was feeling very family oriented, something that was not felt during the last few Christmas. Well, what I like is the food and the drinking. Hahah! What to do? I 'beh tahan' lah with the irresistable mood to party and enjoy. I am so thankful for my family. From my parents, siblings, aunts, uncles, cousins to my new cousin-in-law from Portugal, it's been great fun over the 2005 Christmas. It is hard no doubt to content personal needs but it's easier to give and take here and there. Nothings perfect! Just sit back and enjoy the show!

It was great having Sanjay and Jolene over here in Malacca a few days back. Showed them around Malacca like my house in Bukit Beruang, hot spots to hang out and historic sites. We started talking about ghost stories that really freaked me out. Sanjay and Jolene had to follow me back to Bukit Beruang cause was immensely terrified with the stories. These guys are from my hometown and we really stick up for each other during the good and bad times. I am happy for us for we have changed for the better and are wiser adults compared to early years in Gurney Plaza. It is a growing process that can never be avoided and we were all tempted to do this and that. Now what remains are fond memories of the past and how gila we all were in taking out our parents cars for joy rides all over Penang! We could still do it though, if we wanted!!! Haha! Am I the only one, but don't you think age is catching up on us?

For people who have heard about my shocking lunches at home, well it's true. I prepared bread and slap on some meat. Wahlah a perfect lunch! Saves a lot of money and time too. I dunno, I just got this idea to try eating at home and it ain't bad. Now wanna try canned food pula. Canned food from Yeo's that come in a variety. From what I saw the other day at Jusco was like sotong, makarels, chicken, mutton and beef in cans. Maybe make hot, kacau a bit on the pan and eat with nasi bought anywhere nearby lah. Erm, I still not sure how to cook rice. Never mind. Ban ban lai! Already marinated chicken sounds tempting but heard not so fresh. I have learnt a great deal on how to prepare quick and easy meals from my housemates! Learnt the fundamentals in cooking! Thanks guys! Gonna remember u guys forever! Hahah!

Badminton is the latest thing I have picked up lately. It was my close friends who invited me to their newest past time. The badminton courts are crammed into one old warehouse in Batu Berendam which is 10 minutes drive. We ussually play at night when we are free. So as I was quite interested to play cause it is fun and makes me sweat a lot, I decided what the hack! I got myself a simple racket. I had been looking around Tesco but they had 'cap ayam' ones. Then my friends told me to check out Jesco. Boy was I surprised to find reasonably priced rackets like Wilson, Prince and Dunlop. I got mine for RM 15. It's a Wilson. Not bad lah except my friends said it's a bit heavy at the head. But considering the money I invested in it, it's value lah! Haha!

As for my car, it's ok. Still runs normal and it's gonna be 6 years old this year! The longest Wira kept in my family! Kinda use to the wear and tear and if God willing I have some extra cash, I repair the parts. I have changed the throttle body which has given me some irregular iddling. Now is much stable. Also changed the air filter because I think I had mine for quite some time already. This and buying some petrol additives from STP, I feel driving is a little smoother. Currently experimenting with Mobil oil and it gives me good performance that I am satisfied. I have been trying a few petrols out. This I find not bad! Though I am a little curious to know about what's the difference between the RM1.58 petrol and RM1.62 petrol at Mobil. But heard the RM1.62 one called Synergy F1 is better. Must do some research. Any idea guys? If I do have some extra cash, I would love to change my extractor to a one from Hot Bits. According to my research it increases performance of a car. Also see lah if got some extra cash... hehe!

I really hope I get to update my blog more often. Blogging is coming popular these days. Celebrities even got their own! Though I hope it is originally theirs rather than their personal assistants doing the blogging for them. Hehe!

I wish all my friends the best of luck for this New Year 2006! May you experience good health, wealth and prosperity and something important to me HAPPINESS! Take care and God bless! =)

Back to Malacca... home away from home.

I left Penang on a Saturday. I could not sleep that morning. Woke up around 6 a.m. to watch some tv on Astro. Last minute catching up on my Astro. Miss Astro lah. Mostly the Travel & Adventure channel. I dun have the budget to go on expensive holidays but by watching I get to see so many things. My dad was wondering why I couldn't sleep and kept reminding me of the drive back to KL. That morning I sempat to eat my Koay Teow Th'ng before leaving the house at 11 a.m. Miss my doggies and the ambience of home in Pulau Tikus. Great little place in Penang that I call home!

I supposedly convoyed back with my aunt but she over-took me at the tolls coz she pandai2 got Smart-Tag. Boohoo! Ok I dun have one. Had to queue up to get ticket and also to pay toll. To me I hardly travel so why debit valuable money into a card for Smart-Tag when I can use the money daily to buy food, credit, petrol etc. Heheh! The queues were long but smooth lah. Compliments to staff members of PLUS! Great work guys!

Went to my couz place at Tmn. Tun and stayed there till Monday morning. On Sunday I was invited to Nurul's house in Puchong. She has really a nice house and not forgetting a very nice family. Some people are really blessed! Nurul was happy lah to see me of course! Hahah! =P Makan2 at her house before we went hang out though it was raining heavy and hate driving in rain because of the added risk of u know what. It's proven! We went to O.U. as Nurul told me and not 1-Utama like people like me from outstation call it. So I was corrected there in addressing a shopping complex! Thanks!

We went to watch Salon. Tengku Farah has beauty for a 17 year old girl. She looks mature. But that's acting. Wonder what she's like in real life? None the less, she acted well and it was a nice movie. Nurul kept asking me,"Trevor r u bored?". I was like "No". It was interesting. Then we got hungry and as promise took the sweet girl to Chilis. I was shocked at the menu. I thought the prices were astronomical but I was wrong. Rather reasonable though I know Char Koay Teow at Burmah Road Penang only cost Rm3. But it was a good experience for me. Nice atmosphere and the food was not bad. I find that TGI Fridays was a little more pricey coz Nurul and I have been there before. But the food was nicer lah I feel at TGI. By the way, we were so stuffed at Chilis that Nurul suggested we better start walking before we fall asleep at the table. I felt much better and I am sure she did. I think it was a great outing. Agree Nurul?

As planned, Monday morning I left for Malacca. Traffic was good and kept to the speed limit. I came back early to do some revision lah. No I am not kiasu just trying to recall things I learnt in early years at MMU. Also to tidy my room. Thank God my housemates are here and added to pleasure of returning home. Sure miss Penang mah. Who wouldn't? Not many people around just some friends like Alfian, Andrea, Jahar and Aini. Not forgetting Andrea's 7 year old sister Avaline who is down on holidays! Exposing the truth of what young adults do in Malacca especially our click! Hahah! Watched Anak Mami Kembali since I felt like watching a simple movie and besides it was a Penang movie! It was fun and the theater was quite full mind u. I remember my mom saying that Pe ( an actor in the movie) use to work in Esso Pulau Tikus pumping gas. His talent was caught by someone and that's the beginning of his acting career. No more pumping gas in Esso. I never see him in Penang I dunno why.

I wish all my friends a happy return to Malacca. Nurfadzlin just told me how much she misses Malacca but most importantly what we all miss is the FREEDOM! Haha! See u all soon. Good luck to my SPM friends!

Selamat Hari Raya!

Wow... the month of Ramadhan is over. So fast 1 month. I admit I did 'puasa' on somedays. It was a rather interesting experience of controlling temptations for thirst and pleasure. Nurul really inspired me to do so. She's a great mentor. Thanks dear! I would like to wish all my Muslim friends 'Selamat Hari Raya'. Party on!!!

Hari Raya would be in Penang for me this year. Probably I will go to my uncle's house as he celebrates Hari Raya in Sri Nibong, Penang. I've been going there since I was a little Trevor. I did miss a few years when I was in KL or Malacca these few years. He serves great serunding! I remember when I was young my mom taught me about Malay culture. What to do and what not to do. I although small accepted what she taught me. My mom is from Kedah and use to work in the Kampungs back then long before I was born. She told me when she had to leave for Penang, the kampung people gave her a big 'kenduri' in appreciation for what she did. So that's why she knows a lot about Malay culture. It's great in being a Malaysian and knowing about the different cultures that are in Malaysia.

This Saturday I head back to KL. I convoy with my parents and my aunt. But, my parents will follow us to Taiping then the rest continue to KL. They are attending a wedding in Taiping. Hope to go hang out at my couz place at TTDI. Long time never see them d. When I was doing my practical I see them almost every other day. Heheh! Sunday plan to go to KLCC with Nurul. Ah, just wanna lepak and chill out! Hmmm... if time permits we shall check out the new aquarium in KLCC. I heard Nurul mention it's around RM 25 which is a lot. Not sure though if going. I would really want to go to IKEA with my bestfriend Gan but I think cannot this time as I leave for Malacca on Monday. He needs new stuff for his new place in Kajang. Next time yeah mate!

I shall do some research on my FYP during the week I am there in Malacca. Just brush up on some programming lah as I lost touch of some techniques. Not to say I terror but just wanna put it in a satisfactory order. Khalil should be back on Thurs. We could check out the project together. He and Wan Foo are my groupmates for the project.

My trip to Penang was great. Got to catch up with most of my friends. Sorry to my friends and cousins who will be sitting for SPM as I could not meet up with u all. I see u all next time I get back aight? By the way, Gooo Luck to all of you for SPM !!! I went to almost all the places I love to go. Kek Lok Si, Botanical Gardens, Gurney Plaza, Esplanade etc. It was great going out with friends. Not for getting meeting those 'bapuks' in Chulia Street. Hahah! Important thing is I had fun!!!!

I wish all my friends happy holidays during the remainding days of our treasured holidays! Best of luck for the new trimester.

Touch down at Pearl of the Orient!

I left Malacca on the 13th of October at 5 am. I could not sleep on my bed coz someone so clever go and have coffee latte at Gloria Jeans Cafe during Alfian's 22nd birthday. Happy birthday Pian!

Packed all my stuff as I really need my things with me into my car and headed off in the early morning which was still dark. Stopped at Sg. Buloh R&R for some chocolate milk and some buns. Continued until Simpang Pulai R&R where I slept for an hour coz 'beh tahan'. So sleepy.

Continued my journey after freaking out for sleeping for an hour and felt so blur. I was stumbled to hear Hitz.fm playing classical music. I was wondering. " Ape dah jadi??". The real reason was because Datin Seri Endon had passed away. God rest her soul. I notice that there were offical cars going down from the north (Perdana V6 and Wajas) for the funeral.

When I reached home in Pulau Tikus, Penang, my mom was so shocked to see me. Haha! I was laughing coz I left so early. Reach Penang around 11 something I think. Broke the news to her of the demise of Datin Endon. Many were shocked lah not only my parents. It shocked the nation. Goes to show cannot really believe media reports of people in so called 'stable condition'.

I got my car fixed up here and there. My parents asked me to check it as really used a lot. We ( BDS and me!) travelled to Kajang, Ampang, Subang, Malacca, Cyberjaya and most parts of KL frequently. The car was extensively used so it needed some checking up just to see all still ok. Change my tyres and repaired my 'bengkok' rim. The picture you see of my dummy wheel is not because of puncture (touch wood!). The rim was sent to be mended. Then change gear oil as u know lah 1.6 main problem is gear. Thanks so much to my parents who 'belanja' me... heheh!

It was another trip for me to Kek Lok Si in Penang. Walked up the covered stairs where can see lots of shops selling interesing souveniers and ornaments that leads to Kuan Yin's statue. This time, I drove up to the statue. I mean heck I would do this first and last. So make the best of it and drive up lah. Got quite good shots that I will include here. Mostly a scenic view of Penang city.

The dream of sitting on my red carpert in front of my tv has become a reality. Watching mostly Travel and Adventure and National Geographic. Chun lar. I mean the shows may sound geeky but they are kind of interesting. Like the documentary of the Haj in Mecca. Watch tv until 2.30 am sometimes, latest being 3 am. Kind of nice to watch tv sometimes than surfing lah. Heheh! Manage to download Desperate Housewife episode 4 of season 2. Nurul has been my informer telling me what to download and when the episodes would come out in the U.S. Terror research yeah dear! Haha!

At home, the ussual lah. Wash cars, clean here and there and take some pictures of my garden. The flowers are blooming though it rains a lot here. My dad said we shall not buy new birds as a precaution of the recent outbreak of aviant flue. I am so disturbed by my dogs barking coz I have been away for sometime and really forgot that dogs can be a nuisance at times. Before I came back here, I was like telling my mom, "Mummy, how are they? Miss them lah". Now like sien d lah... heheh!

I am lucky as got to meet my old buddies. Let's see, I met Nigel and Randal ( the Gurney gang) and my neighbour Teng Ho. I have yet to meet Boey, my housemate. Soon lah I think. It's nice meeting up with the old friends and going places that u have never been going to hang out for a while. The craziest thing I, Randal and a bunch of friends did was drive around town in 2 cars near our old St. Xavier's looking for 'bapuks'. Not to acquire service lah but just to see them and have a good laugh. Men trying to be women. It's not funny just it's hard to understand what they going through lah. Psychological I guess.

I shall be writing more soon here telling u all more of my holidays. Till then have a great holiday! To my Hindu friends, Happy Deepavali. To my Muslim friends, Selamat Hari Raya!

Holiday mood... I guess...

I just passed up my report last Tuesday. Now waiting for the presentation on Wednesday. I dunno what they gonna ask and I am just gonna prepare the relevant slides I think is needed; company background, what I did etc.

After that, I am shooting off home to Penang! Yeah, I am just gonna grab my car and go home. It's gonna be like 5 hours drive but I am gonna try doing it... SOLO! Hahah! I just wanna induldge in my favourite food lar... nasi kandar, curry me, char koay teow, mee goreng ( Swattow Lane). Damn, my lips are wet already! Haha! Going back home would mean get to drive my dad's and mom's car. Miss driving them lar... I often rekindle the pass as I drive them. Oh yeah especially on those roads in Penang that I use to use when I was a kid! Oh not forgetting my Hawk Worker mountain bike. Gonna fill some air and hit the road. I had her for 9 years now... she use to be my love until I met... N... hehe! Maybe if got some money I go shopping... not at those expensive malls lar... Ayer Itam kot... the stairs going up to Kek Lok Si.

I should be back in KL before Deepavali lar. If Deepavali maybe go visit my friend at Rawang. But will have to find the place lar. Hari Raya not sure who I am gonna visit as Nurul told me to wait until people call then go. But sure I wanna visit Azuri loh... His my old buddy in MMU. The one that taught me the fundamentals of IT, friendship and love. The rest I tunggu dan lihat. Owh yeah, maybe go check out that Aquarium in KLCC with Nurul. It better be worth my money Nurul or u owe me a box of kuih raya, serunding etc. ... hahaha!

One thing I learnt of late. Appreciate the ones close to u. When they are gone, u never know when they will come back or if they will come back. Learn to chill and relax and dun worry to much. Just be happy with life and take life easy. U are the one responsible for urself. I f u want to see things happen, it only depends on u and everyone has a fair chance of doing what they want. Importantly, be happy. Regarding decisions, make ur own decisions. People may be not the best to give but do listen to what they have to say. At the end make a decision ur happy with. The only way to be happy is by making ur decision because u know exactly what u want.

I hope this holidays I can chill and relax at home. Have a good rest after so long up and down, here and there. Just wanna stay at home and be pampered by my parents! Heheh! The ideal thing for me is to sit on my living room carpert ( I love carperts!) and watch Astro on TV. Wow, that's ultimate. I hope my sis got new seasons of Orange County coz they really get me off my seat with all the excitement going on.

Oh yeah guess what???? I am so into Desperate Housewife. Those 4 women, Susan (HOT), Bree(medium hot), Lynette (cold) and Gabby ( Hotter!) are simply so entertaining in the show. I mean they really show how women in their 30s or 40s are and how they go through life! I mean the horror that goes round the neighbourhood is a bit over reminding me of the backlanes of New York but the lifes of them makes u really learn a lot about people their age.

Happy holidays guys! Hope to tell u guys more of Penang trip. To the people living far far away from their love partners, 'jangan nakal-nakal'.

Back to Malacca!

Wah... really great to be back to Malacca. Hanging out with all my friends here and there and also the bumping into friends at malls, pasar malam and Bukit Beruang area who are like where the hell have have u been??? But also kinda sad as some of my friends have graduated this year and left MMU. Next year, it will be my turn. I guess these are stages in life. When u are at the end of a stages, u succeed and go on to the next. Probably more fun and experiences later on in other stages. As for my current stage of being in Malacca, it's been a great life experience. Memories that will last a life time.

Got reaquainted to my room in Malacca. Needed a lot of cleaning up. Even though I just got this place and had done a 'disposing' session before I moved in, I realize it just wasn't enough. So out went more things. My old Telekom bills etc. I am lucky to find this place and got really good housemates. They are really sweet. We all like family like that.

I also would like to thank the generous people out there who have been looking after my 'precious asset'. I know there were loads of problems, but u guys helped me out. Thank you so much!

The heat in Malacca needs some getting use to. But, it starts to rain occasionally, hence, it cools down the heat. One thing lar about rains, they dirty my car... :(

I got a report submission due on the 12th of Oct and a presentation on 19th Oct. So pretty much I jaga rumah here in Malacca. I like Malacca lar. The small town. The food. The people.

Hope to leave for Penang by the 20th. Wanna go home lar and play with my dogs and drive my mom's Iswara again. Lot of great times in that car! I wanna go up Kek Lok Si again... I just love that place and the Buddhist statues. I feel so at peace.

During these months, I will have my Final Year Project to be done. I got two of my great friends to be my group mates. We are considering what program lar to be done. Cause I mean, if we chose a difficult one, chances of doing well also hard. We gotta be prepared with knowledge in Java, ASP or PHP. I blur lar but gotta learn up!

Living in Selangor was great lar. I mean no doubt it's a busy place with traffic jams and pollution. But, you yourself end up getting busy and going with the flow. In the end, you just feel like one of them. A typical thing I experienced was trips to shopping complexes, stuck in traffic jams, eating out (too busy/tired lar to cook). I made the best of it. Closer to Brian my 4 year old nephew. Really miss that small boy. We made good play buddies! Never too old to be a kid! Hahah! Also not forgetting meeting old friends and relatives all over Petaling Jaya, KL and other suburbs. Met Azry and Apis in Seri Kembangan, Gan in Kajang, Celeste in Ampang, Fayeruz in Cyberjaya. Wow, my car really covered a lot of km! It was fun to meet up with all of them and those I did not mention. Most of these places I was not sure of and never been to like Seri Kembangan and Kajang. Now I know. Heheh!

Selamat Berpuasa to all my Muslim friends during Ramadhan and Happy Deepavali to my Hindu brothers and sisters! If anyone got open house on Deepavali or Hari Raya, give me a call or SMS. Maybe I can come! Happy holidays to everyone during MMU trimester break! Have a smashing time where ever u are! Drive safe u all!

Work and play!

Work can have it's ups and downs. Being in the lower position would require strong communication between the upper management and the workers below. Upper management need to synchronize their orders and not give instructions that would complicate or confuse workers under them. The effects of being unsynchronized could bring damaging effects, lost of time and money. But if it's the fault of the upper management then the lower ranks one have nothing to loose. I listened to u, u gave me different info so what u expect to get? The results u want? Dream on... Sure not 'tepat' one. That's what I learnt at my training. I also learnt to carry on asking to clarify any doubts. Since we are working with management who keep changing their mind, constantly checking up with the upper management would be the most ideal solution to try to finish a task. So what if they scold? I need them to pay me. That's it. They are not gonna be going with me on a round of golf(berangan macam ahli korprat...hehe!) on Sunday or hanging out with me at the bar. What happens at the working place stays there. I don't give a crap IF I got some yelling. But thankfully I never got any yet and they did tell me to ask if I have any doubts as they said they won't scold as they know people like me are under practical. It's a learning experience with the bennefit of getting paid. The salary does help me out lah financially. More money is better right? Hehe!

Oh... the finals for Akademi Fantasia 3 are up tommorrow. So we are down with Mawi, Felix, Marsha and the curly haird girl. I seriously dunno who will win. I think the descision by Astro to maintain the confidentiality of the SMS voting results is good. To me it maintains a fair win by who ever who wins. Atleast the win was by merit rather than popularity. I mean I did like Amy but she was knocked off. I think it was fair. She had the looks but her singing I don't think can be compared by the likes of the remaining contestants. I mean this is my point of view as a music listener rather than a music performer. There are many fan clubs spread all over Malaysia and God knows if there are ones overseas. Fan clubs would obviously boost the voting results of their fan. Hence, it would be a fight of who voted the most rather than the actual credentials of the singer. I mean there is a vast difference in the amount of viewers who actually vote for a good performer than those who vote for someone who they think is 'good'.

Being as stressed out as most people would know me, a walk at the beach in Klebang, Malacca with Nurul was certainly relaxing. I mean we obviously didn't soak ourselves to the bones and totally mess up my car with sand. But, we had fun moderately by walking on the sand and waiting for the sea to wash up on our legs on the beach. Hehe! I had fun. Reminded me of how relaxing life can be though I am surrounded with demands, datelines and difficult task to handle on a normal day. Seing the nice ocean with Indonesia way beyond that was breathtaking. In short it was relaxing to me lar and I cannot stop mentioning how nice it was especially with my sweetheart.

I am trully blessed with great friends who are ever so helpful and understanding. Friends from my extended family in Malacca to the colleagues at work to the guys over in Penang. Thank you so much. When your down and out it's them who are there and brighten your day. Friendship is something which is dear to me and cannot be bought. Happiness is the result of good friendship. We all have misunderstandings at times. But who cares? Don't couples fight too? Hehe!

My little car got a nice wax the other day by it's no. 1 fan, me! Hahah! It was not that hard cause I stumbled upon some wax my sister-in-law got and applied it to my car. Deffinitely looks different as it looks more shinning. It's not really much of 'Wow, that car looks great!" but more of it looks shiny and clean. Maintaining things sometimes is good cause they last longer and they make u proud of what u have no matter how much it's worth. I use to polish my BMW 3 series scale model car in the 90's and I was pretty happy about it. Hehe!

To people out there. Let me say something. Enjoy life each moment. F*ck all those worries and those barriers that confine or limit you. They will always be there in your life but look at more positive moments in life. Be happy. Do things that please you cause that's when u have achieved your happiness. No I am not saying go out and steal a Mercedes and go for a joyride all the way to Phuket. The simple pleasures in life in fact can be the ones that can bring the most happiness. An outing to the mall or cinema. Does that cost much?

Best of luck to all in what ever you do and remember to spread some love around! Yeah baby!

Merit or popularity?

I was kind of forced to watch Akademi Fantasia(AF) last weekend with Nurul. Not to say I don't dig the local musical talent search shows. I just am not really a TV guy though I love to sit and watch the TV at home in Penang. Miss that silver SONY and sitting on the red carpert in front of it! Heheh!

All the participants were great I do admit. Each gifted with extraordinary talent and guts to sing in front of a large audience. Every week I think, a participant or two( first time happen last week in the history of AF!) gets knocked out. The choice is made by the viewers via SMS. The one with the least is kicked out.

Some participants I admit have outstanding physical features, interesting ethnic background, phylosphies of life etc. The viewers I have to say are so judging this instead of the whole reason why talent search contests are held for. The contest is to chose an individual with talent, outstanding singing ability and of credible performance out of a group to be crowned champion of AF.

It was rather obvious that the past weeks, we have seen the weaker ones staying and some better ones going. Of course it was fair base on the SMS counts. But do the ones going really deserve to go? Kudsia Kahar( a respectable judge on AF) and Syafinaz(Music lecturer and singer) did admit this in the last show. It is quite clear that something is going wrong.

Trust me, if the maturer citizens of America, Singapore or Australia were to check out how a talent show like AF is going on in Malaysia, they would laugh their hearts out. Sure they would think of the mentality us Malaysians possess. They would be bursting with questions. How do we choose good singers? Do we Malaysians know anything about art? Is the music scene in Malaysia that fresh?

We have seen many musicians walk by us in Malaysia. All with extremely great talent and the ability to please the audience. The late P. Ramlee, Saloma, Ahmad Daud, Sudirman are singers that have left a spot in the Malaysian music arena. There are so many like Sheila Majid, Ella, Siti Nurhaliza and more who still here to entertain us. It goes to show we Malaysians are musical. We are experienced with music and we know what we hear is good.

My opinion would be to wise up and make a good choice. Yes, it is insignificant for just that one vote. But atleast that vote was base on credibility of the singer as well as his or hers ability to entertain us.

Up and about in Subang!

Been working at the office for more than 2 weeks now. Getting busier with work and datelines. I am glad to meet such motivated and goal oriented colleagues from MMU with me during the training at the office. We all get along well. In the begining we were not that close but after some time getting to know each other we became closer. I mean all 4 of us are so different but we managed to bond which has turned out so nice to have new friends. Last Wed. we went to play pool at Club 7 in Subang, thence adjourned to Tanjung 'Mamak' shop for supper. I didn't expect all to show up. It's good to see the team spirit within us.

My parents are down for the week cause my father has some work to do. Erm... a bit cramp here in SS18 but it's ok lar. Oh yeah even outside the house. 1 car in the parking lot and the other 4 are outside. Rather different scenario compared to back home in Pulau Tikus, Penang, where the whole lot can be parked inside. Atleast I can dine on my mom's cooking for dinner. Miss all her favourite chicken curry, petai sambal and others. Now she here she can cook mah. Save some money also for me... heheh!

Property here is astronomical. I mean if you compare with Puchong or Kajang for the same area space it is much cheaper than Subang. Subang is also becoming quite densely populated. Lot's of jams but what can u say with only like 2 access roads into Subang from the Federal Highway. Hopefully with the new mega flyover project at Subang intersection, the traffic will ease.

I got this real droaning noise coming from the engine. Sound like exhaust pipe. Gonna check it out tommorrow. My petrol gauge is also busted. Irregular petrol estimation. I doubt it's electronical problem cause the estimation of the needle is not so eratic. I hope the repairs don't cause me a bomb!

Going down Malacca next Friday to pay my bills. Hope to meet Nurul and all the friends. So fast end of the month. Malacca is nice to chill lar. I mean there really isn't much but the friends are great. Sure they are busy with their studies but sure hope they don't mind hanging out a while... hehe! Looking forward to meet u guys!

The following weekend I am returning to Penang for the weekend. My aunt's big birthday party. Long time also never go Penang. Sure still the same wan... hehe! Hope to meet Gan. 2 days only cause it's a weekend but gonna make the best out of it!

I am reading a lot in my free time here after work. Going to MPH Subang Parade to see what's new. I dun really go too far with my car problems. Somemore I just started my first job although it's just training. I hope to save up some atleast lar. Saving is good but one should have a purpose. I am so young and so many things to get. Have to start early rather than to suffer later.

I wish all my friends the best for this new semester in MMU. Take care!

K.L. I am here!

It's been like 3 weeks now living here in Subang. Staying somewhere in an area called SS18 which is like 5 minutes to Subang Parade. The nearest buddy who is hardly even here is Asrul who stays at SS15 Subang(even nearer to Subang Parade).

Got into the hang of working at MERP (M) Sdn. Bhd. a software house that deals with business application software. When I got in on the 27th of May 2005, I got to learn up Crystal Reports, a reporting software for business documents like receipts, invoices, quotations etc. Then, like on the 1st I got a new job to do the user manual for their 2005 version of the company's software. I work together with another guy(MMU Cyberjaya) on the project. The rest of my colleagues are from MMU Cyberjaya and Malacca respectively. Office hours are from 9-6p.m. with lunch at 12.30 to 1.30. Saturday is off day! Erm... I think it's ok lar working there I mean. I learn a lot and at the same time do work there. I wouldn't say the work is easy cause there's reasonably quite a lot to be done for the company.

So wat do I do after work? Hang out of course. If u know me, I like walking around shopping complexes just window shopping. Been to Carrefour Subang, Subang Parade, IOI Mall Puchong, Tesco Puchong, Midvalley Megamall, Jaya Supermarket Petaling Jaya, Metrojaya Petaling Jaya and the new One Utama.Really nice to see all the shops and the different people in KL. Notice a lot of mix couples but hey that's what Malaysia should have more of. No doubt there's different people here in Malaysia but all are true Malaysians. I like my friend, Amed's theory of when people ask him what race he is he calls himself a Malaysian. Amed, bile nak jadi Dato' ni? Hehe! I find that there are a lot of profesional people living here and I respect them for getting here to KL. Sure it ain't easy. For a person like me coming from Penang, I really am at the bottom of the ladder. I am aiming up.

My car broke down again. This time black oil leak from the lower gasket of the engine. Just sent it in today and my uncle was kind enough to lend me my cousins Wira Aeroback 1.6 cause she's living in Singapore now. Almost the same car as mine yeah? Driving is pretty much the same but this car is much well taken care of then mine. Milege still below 60k km and not so much vibration. Guess what year it is?? 1996! Yes... it's true. Lucky cousin of mine I guess.

Living with my bro here turned out to be soo fun! I get to play with my nephew, Brian, after work. It's kinda like living in a childs world again by doing things like watching Buzz Lightyer ("To infinity and beyond!"), playing with his Hot Wheels and just running around the house! Really it's tiring but good fun! When I am using my PC, he keeps bugging me to play Need for Speed Underground 2! U know kids with cars. Just looking at me driving makes him all excited. Actually it even thrills me! Haha!

I thank Nurul for being so helpful in taking me around and looking after me when she could here in KL. She went with me to almost all the shopping complexes I went like I mention above. Thanks dear! Next time ur here we go out again k? It's a date! Heheh! Gonna miss her when she's back in Malacca.

Like I always say no point being sad missing someone. Look forward to the moment when u can meet that person next! Living a happy life is what we all are striving for. To be honest it's easier said than done!

Penang Touchdown!

I have been in Penang since Saturday. I was last here during the Chinese New Year Break!Yeah, that was really long ago. Not surprised when my friends met me,they were so surprised where on earth I hid for the past two months. Hehe! Mostly they tell me I put on weight... well, mesti lar.... bahagia kan? Hahah!

Hanging out a lot at home here in Pulau Tikus. Watching TV and sleeping. In the evenings, I play with my dogs and my new puppies. Sometimes I wonder, who runs after who. The dogs or me.... haha!

A lot on my mind lately while my mind is so freaking free. About my practical in Subang. The job I think more or less I am prepared. My accomodation is so uncertain. I just hope to get a nice room with internet facilities and a bathroom. Not really into TV and all. I mean it's KL lar... just go hang out. Not many friends compared to Malacca but gonna make some. Will be making trips to Malacca from time to time to see my new place in Tmn. Kerjasama, Bukit Beruang. I am gonna miss someone so much in Malacca for sure... oh well... life must go on. We'll meet up I promise.

While, I am in KL I shall learn about the life and the people. I like learning new things. Being observant and checking out new things. My cousin Randal from Penang, says his going down to to his practical to so maybe meet up with him. I would like to visit shopping complexes. I like spending time walking and window shopping. I guess looking at astronomical prices of goods makes me motivated to work hard. My mom keeps on telling me prices of everything has gone up due to the petrol increase. To me, it's the movement of time. I looked back at my dad's old Volvo brochures and the price of a brand new Volvo back then was less than RM25 000. Today, Volvo's start at RM200 000. Big difference right?

Thinking a lot about my future while I am free. I wanna try to work hard. Get a good job that I am happy with. Then probably think of finding a home and settle down with someone I love. I just hope that special someone waits for me.When u take a moment and think... u go like wooooooooo..... so many things to buy and spend. But, I guess, it's all in time. Whatever is to happen is in the hands of God. Just take life a day at a time and enjoy the moment. Look on bright side... =).

Love to me is the best thing that happen. You appreciate how wonderful life is. Finding that special someone who is really meant for u tops up everything. Love is blind irrespective of race, religion, ethnic background, social status etc. Love can be between anyone that shares a special connection that exists called love. You may get impatient in wanting to be with that special someone, but only time will tell. Just be patient and enjoy the moment u have with him/ her. Pray a lot I guess. God understands us and cares for us no matter how stupid we are sometimes. What's important He understands and I am sure He knows we are not perfect.

Live life the fullest and appreciate the ones u love the most! =P

Roti jala, capati and chicken curry!

It was another day at the library with Nurul, Lisa, Lin, Ashe and me. We had been studying the whole afternoon and we were getting tired. As ussual, after library, around 6 p.m., we always head out to kedai "50 sen" near Jusco.

The food is undeniably nice and cheap. But, most of us(me, Lin and Ashe) were getting sick of it. Everyday the same old bee hoon soup.

Out of the blue, Ashe had an idea to take us to Tehel, on the way to Jasin via Bukit Katil(pass JPJ). It was a long drive. The roads were single carriage lanes and windy. The road goes through the Guthrie estate(palm oil plantation).

In 20 minutes, we were at our destination. It is located at the bend of the road. U know those selekoh merbahaya kind of roads. I drove slowly into the vacant land beside the gerai.

Interestingly, the owner, looks like from Middle East. She and her children that is look from the east. Her hubby could be a Malay bloke.

At the table was 4 periuks of curry with roti jala by the side. Behind that was a pan where the lady was busy making capati.

We started ordering. Actually, Ashe did the ordering for us, cause we bit jakun in this unfamilliar place. Hehe! Ashe and Adrian have been going there for a while so the people kinda know them.

The food arives. Looks simple but when u bite into it and dip it with the kuah, it's just gorgeous. Yummy! The roti jala and the capati was superb! Can say as good as how the Indians make it. I and Nurul got a drumstick each so were quite contented... heheh!

The price was not so bad, being a person who is very cautious of prices. I wonder who? Hehe! I think me and Nurul's meal only came out to RM7 including the teh 'o' ais.

It was really great and certainly thankful to Ashe for showing us a new spot to eat. Yes, it may seem a lil out of the way, but it was fun! First time being to that part of Malacca honestly.

On the way back, everyone was quiet in my car. All were contented with the meal and stuffed! I did not say much so Nurul kept on bugging me and telling me how bloated my tummy was. Hehe! Hey, I enjoyed the food what can I say.

So if anyone of you interested in something different than the normal routine meals at Bukit Beruang or somewhere near to it, just contact us. If we are free and have enough petrol, we'll take u there.

Cheers! Happy studying and good luck for finals! Remember u dun have to be an Einstein, it's the effort that counts! =)
